Idealistic Inspiration metal print by Gail Butler. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

This is a self portrait I completed last year as part of my 'Casting Call' show. In it I have given a face to the unseen sprites in my head! i have written a poem for this, I hope you enjoy!
My idealistic inspiration,
Comes from deep inside,
That special place within me,
Where my hopes and dreams reside.
Perhaps my inspiration is given,
By a lovely little sprite,
Whose humorous ideas,
Cause chuckles of delight.
Maybe an angel will inspire,
A thought provoking piece,
Or guide me to the place,
Where my heart will find release.
My hands become the messenger,
My heart, the guiding force,
And love, the captain of my ship,
Keeping me on my course.
About Gail Butler
Self-taught, Gail's artistic interests and abilities have been part of who she is her entire life. Starting with crayons and a Poloroid camera, she has evolved into an artist with a unique style all her own. Having an 'Enjoy the moment, for it will all to soon be gone!' outlook comes through in her work. Her love of the natural world and its inhabitants fuels a desire to capture their beauty, while her sense of humor and appreciation of that which is magical and whimsical is also a driving force behind her art. Her portraits are renditions which capture the character of her chosen subjects, as she 'casts' them in roles which give a glimpse into their 'personality'.
